About Me
Dave Smith is a director of a foundation that supports children with cancer. He has three children, and his hobby is shooting.
He was born in the city of Philadelphia on May 17th, 1956 to parents who met while attending college there. After graduating from Temple University in 1978, he went on to work as an editor for The Wall Street Journal for two years before moving into investment banking at Goldman Sachs. In 2001, he left Goldman Sachs to co-found the Foundation which now bears his name and provides financial support for families whose lives have been affected by childhood cancer as well as scientific research aimed at finding cures or therapies for this devastating disease.
